📅 Hours: 42-hour contract | 4 on, 4 off | Night Shifts

We are seeking a professional Security Officer to provide a high-quality security service, protecting people, property, and assets while delivering excellent customer service. As a Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment, demonstrating Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness at all times. Based at a large technology and business campus in Winchester, the Security Officer will work within a unique environment that combines modern facilities with historic surroundings. A valid SIA licence is required before commencing operational shifts.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Monitoring CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Conducting regular security patrols and site inspections.
• Controlling access and managing visitor passes.
• Protecting people, property, and premises.
• Locking and unlocking buildings as required.
• Maintaining accurate logs, reports, and handovers.
• Reporting incidents, hazards, faults, and emergencies.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
• Supporting emergency responses, evacuations, and searches.
• Preventing theft, damage, unauthorised access, and disruption.
• Conducting investigations and assisting with incident management.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• A valid SIA licence.
• CCTV experience / CCTV operator, response and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• British nationality and UK residency for the past 5 years (due to site requirements).
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
