Job Description

This is a financial leadership role within the Aesthetics US finance team accountable for financial review of customer contracts, net cost recovery, and sales allowance pricing governance with respect to top accounts. This role would directly partner with the Professional Loyalty & Governance team as well as various finance teams across AbbVie.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities are defining, implementing, and monitoring a control environment for Allergan Aesthetics (AA). These responsibilities include:

• Responsible for end-to-end finance review process and key deliverables for the quarterly contract renewal cycle. Evaluate customer sales volume and current contract offers to ensure renewals align to evolving business strategy. Strong sense of ownership and accountability over all deliverables to achieve required timelines.
• Review commercial program proposals, investigate and liaison with US Contracts and Pricing Finance team to assess Government reporting implications (i.e. AMP, Best Price, product un-bundling). Determine program feasibility, operational requirements and advise senior management.
• Execute key controls to ensure approved discounts are captured in AbbVie reporting applications completely and accurately. Partner closely with Physician Loyalty and Contracting teams on control, SOPs, and best practices over customer pricing.
• Provide strong partnership and strategy to influence business partners, drive decisions, and optimize contract performance. Demonstrate clear understanding on how performance drives gross to net forecasting and results.
• Drive continuous improvement by supporting new, ad hoc, temporal or other strategic pricing initiatives as requested by commercial business partners and management.
• Perform quarterly and ad hoc net cost recovery analyses for multiple scenarios to ensure forecasted volume and price aligns with current business strategy.
• Perform quarterly and ad hoc monitoring over 1) rebate constructs that impacts product unbundling calculations for offers currently in market and 2) all potential offers impacting price unbundling before customer contracts are finalized. Support the quarterly accrual process with documented support for complex manual journal entries.
• Track contract rebate performance and present the post-mortem evaluation of contract performance for each contract renewal cycle to understand the impact of new terms.
• Support pricing governance through controls and ad hoc monitoring to ensure approved contract pricing is recorded completely and accurately in AbbVie systems.
• Document, own, and maintain desktop procedures over all key processes.

Qualifications

• 4-year undergraduate degree, with emphasis in finance or accounting preferred
• 7+ years related work experience in FP&A, Contracting or Price forecasting preferred
•  Ability to work productively within a team environment and perform duties independently while keeping Finance management informed.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as job responsibilities include communicating with various levels of management.
• Proficient in creating and maintaining highly complex Excel financial models.
• Requires an ability to respond to change and adapt quickly to change to achieve required timelines.
• Strong analytical skills including use of Excel, advanced modeling, and systems (SAP, Conga/Salesforce, Model N).  Power Query, PowerBI, ThoughtSpot, Tableau knowledge a plus.
• Must be comfortable breaking down large amounts of data.
• Raises the bar and is never satisfied with the status quo. A champion of process improvement and automation to decrease time spent on reoccurring tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including being a team player; comfortable working with cross-functional teams, while also having the ability to partner with and influence others.
• Knowledge of Allergan brands, cash pay vs reimbursement distribution models, AbbVie/Allergan reporting systems and gross to net accounting is preferred.
