📍 Work Locations

Work close to home in some of East Hertfordshire’s most welcoming communities. We are currently in high demand and urgently looking for compassionate people based in or around WALKERN and STEVENAGE!

🏠 Walkern (Urgent Vacancies!) 🏙️ Stevenage (Urgent Vacancies!) Including: Roebuck, Broadwater, Shepnall, Poplars, Chellis, Symonds Green, Fishers Green, Pin Green, Chells Manor, St Nicholas, and Old Town. 🌳 Watton-at-Stone 🏡 Aston 🌸 Benington 🌻 Ardeley And the surrounding villages and parishes.

💷 Pay & Benefits

💰 Weekdays (Mon-Fri): £14.70 per hour 💰 Saturdays: £16.50 per hour 💰 Sundays: £16.50 per hour 🚗 Mileage allowance: 30p per mile

⏰ Shift Patterns & Contract Security

Our services run 7 days a week, offering shifts to suit your lifestyle:

🌞 Day Shifts: 06:00/07:00 – 14:00 🌙 Evening Shifts: 14:00 – 22:00/23:00

✨ Guaranteed Hours are available for the right candidates – giving you the security of regular work!

Job Description

💙 What You’ll Be Doing

Every day as a domiciliary Care Assistant is different, but your impact is always the same - life-changing. You’ll support people to stay independent in their own homes and be a trusted part of a close-knit, local team.

✨ You’ll help with:

• 💧 Providing personal care with dignity and respect – bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming

• 💊 Assisting with medication – preparation and administration

• 🚶 Helping with mobility – and using aids/equipment safely

• 🍲 Preparing meals/snacks – and offering mealtime support

• 🧺 Carrying out light domestic duties – laundry, making beds, light cleaning

• 💬 Offering companionship and reassurance – building meaningful relationships

✨ You’ll also:

• 🤝 Encourage social engagement and family connections

• 👀 Monitor health and report any changes to healthcare professionals and family

• 📝 Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

• 🛡️ Respond to emergencies safely and effectively

• 🧩 Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team

Qualifications

🦸 What You’ll Need

• 🚗 Driving Requirement: A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
